Environmental Monitoring

ENSR provides comprehensive monitoring capabilities for nearly any environmental system.

Air Quality

ENSR has comprehensive ambient air quality, meteorological monitoring and stack testing capabilities, whether needed to obtain environmental permits for a planned facility, manage fugitive emissions or odours from an operational facility, document air quality for health reasons during remediation of former facilities, or even to evaluate indoor air quality at neighbouring facilities. ENSR provides integrated project teams that can evaluate facility needs quickly and cost-effectively, thereby enabling efficient decision making so any additional testing that is recommended assures maximum value of the gathered data. We have performed both long and short term ambient air quality monitoring projects for a wide variety clients include the energy, mining and industrial sectors. We work to National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accreditation standards to ensure stringent compliance with all relevant regulations, whether for stack emissions, continuous or discrete ambient air, meteorological, surface or process monitoring.
ENSR’s services include monitoring system design, installation, operation, maintenance/repair, and reporting. We also perform independent audits for ambient air monitoring systems. We have both the ‘know-how’ and the quality systems to obtain and analyse ambient air monitoring data in the most cost effective way.

Stack Emissions
ENSR provides comprehensive stack emissions (source) testing services, with special emphasis on complex trial burns for hazardous waste disposal facilities. ENSR tests for particulate matter, PM10, PM2.5, acid gases, metals, dioxins and furans, volatile and semivolatile organic compounds, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and various other parameters. We also provide continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS) design, installation, maintenance/repair, and audits.
Our team has NATA accreditation for the sampling and analysis of emissions for a wide range of pollutants. This complements our existing international quality accreditations and demonstrates our commitment to delivering the best possible service for our clients.
