Auditing and Third Party Review

Most States and Territories in Australia have a system of independent auditing or third party review by experts accredited by the State environmental protection authority under relevant legislation.

ENSR currently has seven contaminated land auditors, four accredited under the NSW Contaminated Land Management Act 1997, three accredited under the Environment Protection Act 1970, and one third party reviewer under the Queensland Environmental Protection Act 1994. Our Victorian auditors are recognised in South Australia and Western Australia and both New South Wales and Victorian auditors are recognised in the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory.

Besides statutory auditing, our auditors are commonly engaged by some clients as independent experts to review work of other consultants that does not require a formal audit. Either way you are assured of a sound, practical outcome that meets the relevant regulatory requirements and optimises your business objectives.

In other circumstances our auditors are commonly called upon to give expert evidence.  They have experience in various jurisdictions, including the Land and Environment Court, the Federal Court and Supreme Court and in mediation.
