Graduate Development Program
The ENSR Graduate Development Program is an integrated program aimed at maximising learning opportunities for graduates by providing exposure and experience in a range of areas. The Graduate Development Program is completed over a two year period.
The Program aims to ensure that graduates from the professional disciplines receive on the job experiences and training to develop their competencies and broaden their knowledge of ENSR and its services. The Program also aims to ensure that your development as a professional in ENSR will be varied and challenging whilst assisting you to determine the course of your future career path.
Upon acceptance of employment with ENSR, you will be placed within one of our three Practice areas which include:
- contaminated land: contaminated land investigation, remediation and validation of soil, groundwater, sediments and surface water
- environmental services: environmental planning; ecology; land management; archaeology and heritage; urban and regional planning environmental management
- occupational health & safety: indoor air quality monitoring; asbestos and other hazardous materials management advice; occupational hygiene and audits
Providing a range of experiences is an important aspect of the program. Where practical we facilitate rotation within the Practice and/or across locations and where possible to other Practice areas.
The placements and projects will ensure you get exposure to a variety of aspects of work including field work, project management, technical skills, quality systems and occupational health & safety. Graduates will also undertake on-the job training and learn to maintain professional working relationships with client representatives and contractors. Work placements are a good way of building networks within the firm as well as developing new and different skills.
Graduates undertake a range of formal training and development whilst on the Graduate Development Program. The Program includes professional skills courses as well as regular technical updates run by the Practice areas. In addition, participants in this program will also have the opportunity to take part in ENSR’s Mentoring Program as part of their ongoing professional development and to learn from some of the best in their field.
