Graham Taylor
Operations Manager Hunter Region NSW, Principal Chemical Engineer
Graham joined ENSR in 1995 and is the Operations Manager for the Hunter Region. He has over 30 years experience in environmental legislative requirements and controls; pollution control equipment specification, design evaluation commissioning and ongoing operational monitoring and control; air, water and noise monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment; waste minimisation and disposal; and occupational health, hygiene and safety monitoring assessment. Graham has experience giving expert evidence in the environmental court.
Graham’s consulting experience covers a broad range of industries including aluminium smelting, power generation, waste management and mining. Graham brings to the table experience from both the regulatory and industry perspective from his previous employment as a Pollution Control Engineer with the former NSW State Pollution Control Commission (DEC/EPA), and his 15 years at the Tomago Aluminium Smelter.
Graham has particular expertise in pollution licensing, monitoring and control requirements for the power and aluminium industries and consults extensively to these industries. While with the SPCC, he played a leading role in the NSW Government Assessment of suitable sites for proposed aluminium smelters in the Hunter Valley, developing environmental best practice and pollution control guidelines for the aluminium industry in the Hunter Valley and establishing licensing requirements for the then Alcan (now Hydro) Aluminium Smelter at Kurri Kurri, NSW.
